1st International Sport Management Symposium

The Centre for Entrepreneurial Development Alliance and Research (CEDAR), under the auspices of Cyprus Sport Organisation (CSO) and of the Cyprus Association for Sport Management, is hosting the 1st Sport International Management Symposium, on Thursday 15 March, 2018.
Symposia, often held for specific occasions, date back in 416 BC. The Greek symposium, which was a key Hellenic social institution, served as a forum to debate, plot, boast, or to simply revel with others. This is our intention too: students, academics as well as practitioners will (e-)meet to share specific solutions to current challenges sport industry is faced with.
The format of the presentations will follow a Harvard Business Review style, in that all speakers will present three sections, with one PowerPoint slide per section: (1) a situation/context, (2) a problem/issue, (3) a solution. Each student presentation will be 6-minutes long, followed by 3-minutes for questions. Invited academics and practitioners for the Round Table will follow the same ‘format’, albeit in a more flexible fashion.
